Folk Stories

Comments
Folk music expresses feelings and stories. Some happy some sad. Here are three fun ones that just celebrate life. From the Kingston Trio the story of a man that got on a train when the fare was 10 cents. But the fare was raised to 15 cents and he did not have one more nickel to get off that train. The other two are a fantastic yodeler (jodeler) from Switzerland and a young country singer that learned to yodel from an instruction book and tape.

Oesch's die Dritten

The human side of music. Music has always touched us, inspired us, helped us celebrate and mourn, as well as remember and discover. From dancing, to sitting on a beach around a bonfire; from intimate moments to the festival of life. Music has been a part of human culture for as long as we can see back in modern culture.

Folk music is a kind of music that expresses our collective stories, feelings, history and culture. It is different depending on which country you are in and which time. We wanted to share just a little bit of fun with you in this article, in the stories and the music, from The US and Switzerland..., a bit of folk music, from old to new.

Enjoy!
